In the courtroom, new lawyer Nikos Mouschountis represents industrialist Orestes Valsamis, accused of gendarmerie Dimitris Konstantinou, for defamation. The passion with which the accused insists on identifying Musuchadi's client as a drug dealer, despite lacking the necessary evidence, stifles the young lawyer. After convicting Konstantinou, he undertakes to defend him at the Court of Appeal and succeeds in arresting Valsamis in person. Subsequently, he quits law and is classified as a lieutenant colonel in the gendarmerie.
