Being a divorced woman in Mexico of the 1950's. Chofi "Malena Cervantes" and Alberto del Valle "David Silva" are about to marry, so the night before she has a hen-party while he's got his stag-party. That night her friends let her know that it takes more than modern appliances to make a happy husband. But she is a friend of Amelia "Maricruz Olivier" who's got a little stigma over her: she is divorced. Relax man. Focus on the age and place: Mexico, 1950's.
