The love of a youth worker, from a poor family, to the daughter of a wealthy, is hurt by the devaluation of both her girlfriend and her mother. But when the father dies and poverty hits their door, the young man will secretly buy their estate and give work to the uncle of the poor now once wealthy. She accepts to marry him but continues to underestimate him until he realizes the good he has done, both to herself and to her family.
