Macross 7 ratings (TV show, 1994-1995)

Set years after the initial space war and peace with the alien race the Zentrani, a new fleet of colonization ships, each containing a city, treks to find a new planet to settle on. Lead by Capt. Maximillion Sterling in charge of the military escort and his estranged wife, Myrira Genus, Mayor of the key city of Macross 7 and advised by Exedore, the original Zentrani advisor, the fleet must achieve this goal despite the grave threat by a new enemy who constantly attack the fleet seeking to conquer the human population for their own sinister purposes. The enemy's numbers and might seem overwhelming, but the Earth fleet has a great advantage of their own. A rock band called Firebomber, fronted by Nikki Basara and the daughter of the Sterlings, has the rare and powerful musical talent that has turned the tide of battle to Earth's advantage in the past. Now the band must play a critical role in a war where singers are warriors and music can be the most valuable weapon of them all.
